I don’t have any updates to share. Boo. Because of the epic deep freeze in Minnesota right now we had to cancel Cooper’s appointment with the psychologist. Apparently Minnesota shuts down at -25 degrees. Weak.
We rescheduled her visit to daycare for next Tuesday, February 4th. Talk about prolonging the stress. One thing this mama does not need. But honestly, it’s for the best. Cooper had a cold yesterday and stayed home from daycare with mom and dad. And I learned two things:
1. Having one child is EASY!
Wow! Sawyer went to daycare for the day so we could attempt to get some work done. And I forgot what it is like to only be responsible for one person. We snuggled, watched cartoons, played trains, did puzzles and read. It was a good day. I also felt the need to tickle him relentlessly whenever he started whining. Cooper’s laugh is infectious and I will do anything to hear it. It was a good day.
2. Cooper is the biggest baby EVER when it comes to colds!
Every cold Cooper gets is life stopping for him. He has always been that way and I believe he gets it from his father! No one is ever as sick as Cooper. Typical man! Honestly, I believe a lot of it has to do with the fact that he can’t tell us what hurts or what is bothering him. So, we spent the majority of the afternoon in survival mode. Cooper woke up from his nap and I could tell he felt awful. So we just took it easy the rest of the night.
Tomorrow is speech Wednesday. Lord give me strength. I am excited to tell his therapist that Cooper is blowing raspberries like a maniac lately. Great news.
